Hi! This is i'm a
designer

I turn complex problems into experiences that feel effortless. Here you'll find how I've helped brands grow, users feel understood, and products go from zero to results — with research, strategy, and a little help from AI.

My work
Serēna
A culturally-aware AI mental health app for Latinx communities — from research all the way to a near-launch, fully interactive product.
Stash
Mobile savings app tackling the loneliness and chaos of personal and group finance
Alma
Co-founded a gourmet gifting brand from zero — research-led pivot, full brand system, and $65K annual revenue over three years
Chicago Wheel Express
B2C digital launch for a decade-old B2B business — built from zero to 35% revenue growth
About me...

Hey there! I'm Danna — a Product Designer and UX Researcher based in Chicago.
My path here started in journalism and social communication, where I spent years learning the most important skill in design: how to listen. How to ask the right question. How to find the real story underneath the obvious one. From there I moved into marketing and brand strategy — eight years of turning user insights into campaigns, digital experiences, and brand systems that actually connected with people.
Eventually I realized I'd been doing design work all along — researching users, mapping experiences, solving problems. I just hadn't called it that. So I leaned in fully: completed Google's UX Design Certificate, started building products from the ground up, and haven't looked back.
Today I design experiences that are grounded in research, tested with real users, and built to drive real outcomes — 70% traffic growth, 55% conversion improvement, products launched from zero to revenue. AI has become a genuine part of how I work — not as a shortcut, but as a tool that helps me think faster, prototype smarter, and push ideas further.
I thrive collaborating with cross-functional teams — close to the problem, close to the users, and close to the people building the solution. If that sounds like someone you want on your team, let's talk.
